Phillip Mitchell joined the Group in 1994 after a long career with Nedbank where he served on the boards of numerous property owning companies with his main function being property valuation.


This branch manages the valuation needs of corporate clients, private investors, financial institutions and listed funds. It is located in Johannesburg and carries out valuations in all parts of South Africa.

Discounted cash flow valuations are carried out on larger portfolios and listed funds with the aid of a Cougar Data Base Programme.

The branch prides itself on personal involvement in all aspects of their client's valuation needs in that Phil personally handles the entire process ensuring one-on-one communication, quick turnaround times and competitive rates.


Some of our more prominent clients include Primegro, Growthpoint, Metboard, African Capital Property Portfolio and CBS.

Phil Mitchell has been involved in the property industry in South Africa for over 33 years where he started his career as a consultant valuer at Syfrets Trust Limited before moving on to Nefic Division of Nedcor, where he served as a property manager/valuer and as a director of numerous property owning companies.

He has served on both the Provincial & National Executive Committees of the South African Institute of Valuers, lectured Property Valuation at Wits Technicon, and has served on the National Property Education Committee (SAPOA).

In addition Phil has set and marked Practical Valuation Examinations for final year National Diploma students for both the SAIV and the Witwatersrand Technicon.
